The first run was for members of the 'Gresley Society' I was kindly invited along as a guest, these are photos from the day. This photo dates back to January, again 31285 but with a radio survey train southbound at Staples Corner MML. This picture was used in the April's edition of Rail Express magazine. Tornado approaches Vauxhall form Waterloo on Valentines Day. Tornado returning north passes slowly through Camden Road waiting for the signal for the Camden Incline and the ECML. As Tornado passes Camden Colin Kerswell, Hither Green Footplate Inspector, can be seen sitting in the fireman's seat. Thanks to Alan Pitt for the info. 60096 passes Acton Central with the Park Royal to Angerstein stone. 37667 hauls a stoneblower southbound through West Brompton. 37688 has rescued 37667 on the 6Z37 Marshgate-Ashford plant move. Approaching Oakleigh Park. Oliver Cromwell hauls the 'Great Northern' through Ganwick Corner ECML. ECS 365 unit passes Park Royal. HST service train approaching Oakleigh Park outhbound. 67006+005 power the Royal Train ECS from Hull to ?Wolverton, approaching Oakleigh Park. DBSO 9701 heads a 1Q12 test train south through Oakleigh Park. the train ran for several days in March on the southern ECML Passing Oakleigh Park. !Q12 led by 31285 northbound at Bounds Green. 31285 pushes the train south past New Southgate. Class 90 and freightliner drift over Kentish Town Lock. 66517 powers a freightliner past Caledonian Rd. Tornado approaches New Southgate. At the blocks of Kings Cross... being dragged back ecs with one or two watching! 67026 dragging a 91 set for driver training, passes Bowes Pk for Bounds Green. Past Bowes Park with the ecs heading for Bounds Green depot. 08571 also heads for the turnback siding to follow Tornado. This had been sitting in Ferme Park.

Network Rail 31s on a 1Q18 Crewe-Euston OHL test train also at Headstone Lane. Later returning north.

For the most part they will attempt to show the infrastructure, odd corners – the ‘feel & atmosphere’ of the places as well as some of the trains that ran through them. The photos are drawn from a number of sources, including the collections of the Barnet Model Railway Club (BMRC), the Hendon & District Archaeological Society (HADAS) and Barnet Museum. Some of the photographs will vary in quality especially some of the New Barnet prints, some of which have been scanned from a set of rather battered contact-prints as some of the negs & photos have lost (so far). This will be an ongoing gallery as I find more photos to add, researching & dating them more clearly. Some of the dates are as yet a bit of a guess. The 47 has been waiting some time to gain entry to Ferme Park sidings at Harringay. The 'Capital Whistler' ecs eventually gets RA whilst being overtaken by a 365 service.
